Application Process
A thorough review and understanding of EMU’s application process will be conducted to ensure that the requirements and process is clearly explained to students and their families.
Document Verification, Credential Evaluation, and Translation Services:
Ensure all documents that are required are certified, translated and meet the requirements for visa applications and EMU.
Housing, Tuition & Other Expenses

Scholarships and Financial Aid
Review current and prospective scholarship opportunities for students and financial aid options.
Passport, VISAs, Travel
Ensure students have their passports and submitted all required documents to obtain a VISA. Also, support students to travel to the United States.
Pre-Departure
Provide students with pre-departure orientation as it relates to travel expectations, American culture and general information regarding Eastern Michigan University (meals/groceries, activities, local transportation, places of worship, etc…)
Arrival
Develop an in-depth orientation session that provides students with meaningful and realistic information for what to expect as an international student in the United States and at EMU. In addition, the following will be including the orientation for students: work opportunities, community resources, university student code of conduct, local/state/federal laws, medical care and information about the surrounding communities.
